Media Literacy

The 10th Media Literacy newsletter was published in May on the Ofcom website (UK watchdog for media and communications industries). The newsletter page is here. Amongst some of the organisations it mentions in the newsletter is the Associate Parliamentary Media Literacy Group (APMLG) "set up to promote a greater understanding of the importance of media literacy within [UK] Parliament and more widely" with a minimalist website at http://www.apmlg.org.uk/index.htm The Ofcom Media Literacy group published a good deal of research last year, but things have gone a bit quiet, although Media Literacy does still appear to be on the UK political agenda (mostly in terms of protecting children and empowering disadvantaged groups)
