Lots of material from Esther Grassian's keynote to the LOEX of the West conference this month (entitled Occupy Their Minds! The Politics of Information Literacy) is available. There is a link to her talk on Youtube, the powerpoint, the handout, links to various related documents and the full results of a survey she did of academic librarians, asking about assessment of information literacy, whether there were credit courses etc. https://sites.google.com/site/esthergrassian/loex-of-the-west-2012-materials

Thank you, Sheila! I'm very happy to share all of this material with anyone interested, and also want to thank the LOEX of the West Conference organizers for videotaping my talk. Just one correction--I did try to reach librarians in all types of libraries with my survey. As it turned out, about 81% of respondents were in academic libraries (66% in 4-year colleges & universities; 15% in 2-year community colleges). 16% of the respondents (60 people) were in school libraries. I wasn't too successful in reaching public and special libraries, though, so only 1.1% of the respondents were from public libraries (4 people) and only .5% were from special libraries (2 people).
