There is a free webinar on 29 October 2026 12noon-13.00 GMT to launch the New MILA Framework (MILA is the UK's Media and Information Literacy Alliance) and a chance to contribute to a revised CILIP definition of Information Literacy. If you are in North America, bear in mind that the time difference is less that week, as the UK has gone back to GMT, but the change hasn't happened in the USA/Canada yet.
Facilitators are Jane Secker, Pam McKinney, Anne-Lise Robin-Harding, and Georgie Broad.
The new MILA framework provides an updated resource created around the five key media literacy aspirations. This webinar provides an opportunity for you to explore the new framework and hear from the people who created it.
Also "The Information Literacy Group is working on an updated definition of Information Literacy, and we want to hear from our community. We will explain the process and reasoning for updating our definition and there will also be the opportunity to provide your own feedback and comments in breakout rooms on how we can make the definition work for you
