The AASL (American Association of School Librarians) conference is being held in Pittsburgh, USA, 6-9 October. As usual there are a good number of sessions to do with information literacy. Also as is increasingly the case, a conference blog has been set up, and the volunteer bloggers are limbering up at http://www.noodletools.com/aasl/The sessions include the launch of the SOS for Information Literacy resource: a database of lesson plans etc. for teaching schoolchildren. I will do a separate entry on this resource after it has been officially launched.
