Library Value in the Developing World #libval

Sage just published a report: McCreadie, N. (2013) Working together: evolving value for academic libraries: Library Value in the Developing World SAGE Publishing.
It's a follow up to a report they published last year which focused on value of academic libraries in "developed" countries. Both reports are linked from http://www.uk.sagepub.com/librarians/dw
One thing I noticed was that "The physical library building remains important to faculty in the developing world" with the overwhelming majority of academics using the physical library (which is a contrast to habit in more devloped countries). Information literacy is one of the areas identified as havong potential, and there is a one-page description of IL work at UNAH Honduras.
