I like to highlight the awards that some libraries make for students' or teachers' information literacy achievements. One of these was just announced at the University of Kentucky: the UK Libraries Dean’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Scholarship. "Awards are judged on how well a student’s project demonstrates extensive, effective use of library resources, proficient research skills, information literacy competence, and solid scholarship within their discipline" and the prize is US $1,000.
