Sponsorship for South African librarians with information literacy focus, for #WLIC2015

Sabinet will sponsor 10 South African librarians to attend the IFLA World Library and Information Conference 2015 (which will be held in Cape Town in August 2015). The closing date for applications is 1 May 2015. "This sponsorship comprises of funds for registration fees as well as two thousand rand (R2000.00) towards travel and/or accommodation. Priority will be given to eight public librarians as well as two academic librarians who have a focus in the area of information literacy." Applicants must provide "a motivational letter indicating how attending this conference will add value to their career, their organisation and the user population that they serve" of no more than 200 words, plus a letter of approval/permission from their employers.
